Tempt One, American graffiti artist, Died at 54

  General

Tony Quan, widely known by his tag name Tempt One or Tempt1, was a prominent American graffiti artist recognized for his contributions to the graffiti scene in Los Angeles during the early 1980s. His artistic style seamlessly blended elements of the city’s local cholo graffiti culture with the hip-hop lettering prominent in New York, resulting in a distinctive “Los Angeles” style.

However, in 2003, Quan faced a significant challenge when he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a degenerative nerve disorder. Despite being fully paralyzed, with only his eyes being functional, he continued to pursue his passion for art using the EyeWriter technology, showcasing his remarkable determination and creativity.

Sadly, Tempt One passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 54, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of graffiti art and an inspiration for artists overcoming adversity.
